well, some of you may know, my 331 project is on hold for now. ive decided to go ALL OUT with it but i still wanna drive my mav. so i bought a late model HO to play with but still wanna keep it where.... my wife can drive it if ever neccessary.....very unlikely. lol ANYWAY, we were talking about it today and she asked, " does your mav have a heater"? i said, " if i hook it up". so THEN she was like.." does it have ac"? yeah but its r12 and i dont want to hook up a 900 ton compressor that i cant find refridgerant for. so i looked around my pile-o-stuff in my garage, A.K.A MAN-WORLD and found the entire ac system from my buddies 86 stang that worked in his car..till we stripped it to rebuild his mav. anyway, i wanted to know if anyone knows if thats been done with the mav evap core in. what could ii steal the lines off of? i mean i have EVERYTHING for both cars except the mav compressor and the mustang evap core. HELP ME my wife says we are putting it in my car no matter what!! but im not buyin aftermarket air im poor.

you can go to most industrial hose shops too and they will make them for you (you know the shops that make hydraulic hoses for tractors and such)

If Dimmick Supply is still around in Lake Charles, they had the stuff to make A/C hoses. They did or still do here in Opelousas.

I used to do business with em all the time, untill they're weekend hours here got turned upside-down. They were only open on Sundays from 7am to noon. They've goen downhill ever since. They closed the machineshop here too.
