Well I found two articles looking back through my Dad's old Popular Hot Rodding magazines from the 70's. I've got them scanned as PDF's but they are about 8.5 MB in size each. Anybody know how I can get them attached or does anybody have a free FTP site that I could stick them on. Don't want to get into any copyright infringement either. One is by AK Miller and Lee Kelley titled "Six Cylinder Maverick Hop-Up!" and the other is "How to Build a 500 HP Six-Cylinder Ford." Let me know if you guys have any ideas. - Matt

Email them to me, one at a time, at 1bad6t@1bad6t.com and I put them on my server.

Thanks Jeff. They do have some interesting reading in there. Would be interesting to take some of the new alluminum aftermarket cleveland heads and build one.

Have you checked out this site: http://fordsix.com/ ?
There is an Aluminum head available for a 144-250 small block 6.

    baddad457,
I'm building a 250 for the challenge of getting as many N/A horsepower as possible. Where is the challenge in a putting a 351 in a Maverick?

Where's the challenge in spending 4 times as much money as needed ? :Welcome: And last time I checked a Cleveland isn't exactly an easy fit in a Mav.

4 times? I bought 300 rods for $60.00, 3.7 pistons for ~20.00 each, cam/lifters for $75.00, an E0 head for $30.00, 3 1.6 liter weber/carter progressive carbs for $75.00 each and a header for $30.00. The machine work is what will cost. My point is you don't have to spend a ton, just look for really good prices and hit the pull a parts.
I think a 351 Cleveland would be fun, but a good running 250 will be a ball.
