Hi everybody, This week end i've tried to install my hedman 88300 on my comet 75 but no way to get it in. I've started with passenger side cause more place is avalaible and no headers will pass there.

So may be one answer can resolve my problem and here the question: Should I pass the headers by the top or by under the car. After a couple of minutes I've seen that it will pass under This is true???? Cause the reason , I thing, why it doesn't want to get in is that my car wasn't jack enough so I can't get enough angle to my headers to pass through.

Finally I just want confirmation about what I said  and some tip will be realy appreciated

    Thanks
    David

comet 75; Try unbolting the engine mounts, one side at a time, and lifting the engine about 3 or 4 inches. The header will slide right in. I have long tube Flow Tech headers, and they were a breeze to get in. The passenger side will go in from the top, the drivers side from the bottom, if I remember correctly. Give it a try, and let us know. Good luck!

the passenger side will go in from the bottom, without loosening the engine mount. With the starter removed, it's a LOT easier..the driver's side....that's another story. It's usually a PITA. You'll have to unbolt the engine mount & lift the engine on that side 3-4" like Earl said. Also, removal of the spark plugs is necessary, unless you have spares (they almost always get broken off).

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Mavman; thanks for the help on that. Has been about 4yrs since mine were put on, and the old brain tends to forget...especially these days.

Ok guys it's been a while but I decided to paint before install all my exhaust. So now my headers is in but not without pain cause it's so fit in there But I thing that it's too fit cause when I turn the wheel the power steering shock hit the header on driver side even if I put the power steering drop braquet so does any body knows what's wrong???

And an another problem is to bolt the headers on the engine cause I used the shorter bolt that was on manifold but the head of the bolt is too big I can't tight it with a box or key so do you used special bolt for it

    Thanks
    David
