After tring to contact several people who signed on for the event, I'm getting very few responces. We have about 63 people signed on and the gaps are quite large for the most part across the country. Should we pull the plug on this, or still try to make it happen? Please vote only if you signed on. Thanks Russ

I vote keep it going, but I wish more Northern California people would drive as well. I can't drive all the way to Washington......

Russ; I think it would be a unique event, and one for the history books. Even the mustang guys don't do things like this. Keep the faith, and don't give up!!!

I vote don't cancel. Could the camera be mailed if there is a big gap that no one will cover? That may be a practical way to include Alaska. I've been waiting for my assignment. How will we be notified on who meets who and where?

I don't know if you tried to get ahold of me, but put me in for Washington and I could possibly meet Corbin in Oregon or Northern California, and take it into northern Wash, or B.C. Hope this Helps! Marty

i know everyone has thought of this, we kind of need a time table, so we can plan ahead. whoever starts can figure out when they can reach the next person and either post or email that person and soforth, that way we can all get where we need to be. and if by chance it takes alittle longer then we all would want, well the important thing is that no matter how long( within reason ofcourse) as long as we accomplish it. we still have time to get it planned out. for the long hauls people can either meet in the middle or if we have to mail or different camera's. i understand that the original plan was to have people meet, but at least if we try and possibly come as close as possible, we may beable to do this again and have more involvement and it possibly could turn out to be a once a year event . don't be discouraged, lets go for it and have fun. who knows maybe next year we can section off the united states and have large mini meets. anyway i guess what i'm trying to say is DON'T CANCEL!

I say don't cancel, it was a great idea to begin with, and it is still a good idea now. Whatever it takes lets get it done, it's still early, I haven't even had a chance to get any of my cars on the road this year yet even though we have had some good days.

I agree with John, we just need a time table to step up the planning stage. :)

What about it Old Guy, or mavman, you guys are from Ar and we need to fill that gap.

Also there was a guy that just bought a mav off the other board but was on this one that was from Oregon.

Stephen how many members are on this board? I hope more will feel compelled to do this. I think we all feel this could be a history making event.

    Keep it going!!

It's gonna be tough to pull it off but I say go for it. What's the plan if someone's car breaks down or if they just completely flake out and decide to not do it at the last minute? You will need back up plans to make this work.

I have put my name in several times for Missouri but it never shows up on the map. Also, every june or July I drive to Montana and Idaho...what about going a northern route then into wa. down to Ca and over to Tx, etc....

    Just a thought..

russ just do it!!!!!! i think not everybody here realizes that there is no hurry. just cuz you got the camera "today" doesn't mean you have to take it to its next maverick lover tomorrow! as far as new jersey goes, i am going to make it a mini meet. where do we go with it? if i remember correctly... dennis has a nice long driveway! enough room for losta new jersey mavericks! heh heh heh. or we could meet dennis somewhere else. HEY!! WHATEVER WORKS! russ your idea is brilliant. and since it is your brain child (or brain fart) i am with you!
