Honestly, the backup lights on this car haven't worked in almost two years. Never bothered hooking them back up when I put the B&M shifter in. Most of the time I like to back into parking spaces anyway, or I just back out very slowly and watch where I'm going. Never had a problem. If I end up swapping these over when I get the next body together, I'll figure out back up lights then. This is the car I got off you. Don't worry, you were thinking the RIGHT thing. This car takes decent pictures, but it would take a lot of work to restore it properly.

I can't take any credit for this idea at all. Mavaholic has already been running this style of tail light for years on his Sprint. From what I can find, the difference between his and mine are his are off a '67 Impala and mine are of a Caprice, which are just different trim levels of basically the same car.

Other side is on, and I also threw up a quick tech article on how I installed them. Pics and video will come tomorrow.

Looks good. I picked up some Bobcat taillights for our project. Haven't installed them yet.

    The video is:

    Right Turn
    Left Turn
    Brakes
    Brakes + Right/Left Turn
    Tail lights

The old thermal flasher is going a little too fast. I'm going to go get an electronic flasher today so that they will sequence a little slower.

that's great!:thumbs2: the lenses even match the paint.:) and the best part is that they look like they belong on a maverick. That is one nice car you got there. makes me wanna go work on mine, but i'd sink in the mud before i got anything done.

Very cool. Since I kind of helped you with the realization of Caprice lights can I copy that. I really like it. I had no intention of even changing lights but seeing that makes me want to. :thumbs2:

I think they look great the way they are, with the faster sequencing. Very awesome work!

Do what ever you like man. I did a little write up on it in the tech article section for anyone else who wants to do it.

Can you list the part and a diagram on how you did the sequential? i've had my 67 caprice lights for about 6 months but haven't installed because i couldn't find a cheap sequential setup.
