I just dumped 800 between 2 vehicles, and have a 1000 detuctible and rental car pending, Murphy struck here, but now the Ranger has new brakes, the Maverick has a new exhaust, and hopefully it won't take too long to get my money back from the other insurance co for the wife's Civic that was rear ended by an overloaded trailer

See http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/ce/events/spring-carlisle/ for lots of info. This is my first time. I've been to Hershey and Charlotte and did those in one day. If I were closer I'd do one day but its too far to drive for me for a one day stay.

Heh, I wish! Too far for me, maybe one day when the Comet is roadworthy enough to make the trip!

Got invited to join a group of guys that have been doing Carlisle for 20 years. Just checkin' to see if any Forum folks weuld be there.

    Back with some loot

Got back from Carlisle yesterday. Great trip. Walked for two days!! Went with a group of nine guys, all hot rodders to one degree or another. The group has been going to Carlisle for 25 years and now spans two generations. Here are two late arrivals.:drive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_K6...p://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_K6fUULzYk[/COLO

Took my rusty small bumpers because Tri-Cities was there. Picked up a beautiful rear bumper and left my front. Didn't expect the front could be rechromed but they took it. Haven't heard from them yet on a schedule. Will believe they can do it when I get a schedule.

Also found a plater that thought they could do my boomerangs for $65-$75. Will send them some pictures as soon as I find the business card.

Picked up a pair of alleged '88 Mustang buckets for $30 with tracks.:yahoo: Can anyone confirm that these are '88 Mustangs or tell me how to verify it? I'll get them recoverd in Sprint materials but was pleased to find buckets so cheap and in good condition.

One of the guys picked up two Holley 4Vs for $5. Had no use for them so I took them off his hands. Look like variations of the 4160 I already have.

Found a grab bag of Maverick parts for $25. Four side marker lights that I HOPE will fit the '72. Haven't checked yet. Tail light lenses, insignia, and a couple of other small pieces.

One vendor had some NOS parts, way too expensive for me. Did get to hold a $200 NOS boomerang for a minute or two.

Can't wait for Charlotte in the Fall.

    Jim

Look like Camaro seats to me.

Think you're right. Maybe these http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/camaro87-92basemodelseatupholsterykitnewreplacement.aspx Can't find any Mustang seats that look like that.

In any case, they should work fine. They're light, small, comfortable, and will look fine I think. And the price was right. Just need to make sure of what they are. Guess I'll take them apart and see if I can find any part numbers. Thanks.
