Just a tip before you install the tranny. Have had some problems with aftermarket plates, just got an SFI one from one certain company. The crank bolt holes were a tad off and had to be drilled out, also advise trying the convertor on it first. Had many that those bolt holes needed to be drilled also, the one I just used had a thicker ring around the inside of the ring gear and the convertor would not fit inside it without some grinding on the ears. Just trying to save you some work trying to put the tranny on and then have to wrestle the beast back off again like I did.

    Excellent once again Dave!
I had to do the exact same thing to mine. Only I had installed and when I tried to spin the converter to line the holes up, the converter would not spin due to the welds on the ring and plate. Took it out, grinded put it back in....then it would spin easily only to THEN realize that the holes where off a little! Pulled it again!

Dave it is such a great asset to have you around! You have help so many!

Thanks.
