i know a guy with two 69 stangs and he offered to give me some shortie headers for a 302 for FREE!:dancing::rofl::D

but many people have told me that i should keep my manifolds because they flow the same amount is this true?

you would think they flow at least a little better

A set of shorty headers will flow much better than the cast iron manifolds. Shorty headers are not equal length usually so they don't add the amount of HP that long tubes do but the do minimize the back-pressure from the manifolds.

I would think any header is better than no header. I'm sure it will flow better than a stock exhaust manifold

Only problem is they probably wont fit without modifications.

Most headers from a Mustang won't fit a Maverick. Not sure on the shorties, but I would guess they would also require some modifications.:)

I believe they make shorty/mid length headers for older Mustangs that will fit Mavericks. I don't think 5.0 shorties will clear the shock towers.
