This engine has been a pita so far. It is finally in the car. Both exhaust manifolds snagged on the shock towers. BFH seemed to fix them. ;)

The problem now is the driver's side manifold is hitting the gear box and not allowing the engine to sit back far enough for the mount holes to line up. I guess I will take it off and grind it down some.

They are the stock 302 manifolds btw.

We actually got the bellhousing to bolt up anyways, but the engine mount holes are still about 1/2 inch off. :(

This engine is going to be interesting. I'm using the 302 flywheel and balancer. Had everything balanced. So I'm using the smaller bellhousing.

I can't wait to fire this beast up!!

    Been there, done that

You're going to need the swap headers for that 351 based engine...

You may have the frame stands installed backwards or switched from side to side.

    Closure....

I took a grinder to the exhaust manifold and the engine fell right in. Now I'm finishing it up... :)
