Anyone have any ideas, I have an annoying rattle when accelerating, from about 20mph to 30mph. I thought it was the heat shield around the converter, sounds to me like its in that area but i can't find it. HELP, thanks.

Good possibility it is the converter itself. Make sure it's cooled off and hit the bottom of the converter with your fist a few times. If the honeycomb stuff is broken up inside the converter it will make a helluva rattle. You can clean the broken stuff out or replace the entire converter.

Sounds to me like it may be spark knock. Try retarding your timing to find out if it goes away. If it does you can have the distributor recurved so you can have more advance at idle and then a bit less coming on as the revs increase.

I had a noise that appeared under acceleration once and it was the flex plate slightly hitting the starter gear. I got a spacer to move the starter back and no more noise.
