How Much pressure do transmission lines have? ... i converted my car

to a Cross flow Radiator from a 1987-1993 Fox body .....the transmission lines on

a fox body run TOP TO BOTTOM instead of side by side.

HERES MY QUESTION ... if i put the pressure side into the bottom inlet

will it have enough pressure to pump in an upwards motion ....and back

to the transmission? unfortuntly i already bent the lines.....i meant to

have the presuure side on the top inlet...so there wouldnt be so much

    pessure to move fluid.

    The bent issue

Depends on how bent. Although pressure is not very import you do need good flow for two reasons. First, this line is the only source of oil pressure for the rear bearing in the transmission. Second is that you need fairly good flow for cooling. Lines that are badly bent result in transmissions that run hotter which means a shorter life. Just to note, that your transmission is not using the cooled fluid directly other than the rear bearing. Your transmission always feeds the internal parts with oil directly from the pump. It's only the overflow pressure that is being pumped to the radiator, after the rear bearing the cooled oil gets mixed back into the pan which cools the oil on an overall basis.

You can get one these fancy pans like mine with the tubes through it. It was on the car when I bought it. The tubes pass through the fluid and have a spiral insert in them I assume to slow the air down a bit. I imagine it helps cool a bit but it looks really cool on the hoist.:):)
