I have never done it but I would say the transmission would need to be built to support the extra torque. You would also need to make sure you have a flex-plate with the proper diameter, teeth and converter bolt pattern.
Often over looked and IMO which isnt worth more than two dead flys but I feel the greatest motor ever made was the 351w. Small, light, and with so much potential for everything from a poor mans stroker to 408+ cube strokers. Great for power and comes without the heavy bigblock weight.
Since when ? And if it was the greatest, why did the Cleveland have a superior head design ? Which is now used on Windsor blocks in Nascar racing (with Cleveland sized mains)
you can also get an adapter to stick an AOD behind the 390 now. wish it would fit in front of my divorced case 4x4... i wonder how much weight an aod could be built to tow? broncos and f150s had them so must be a decent amount....
yeah that would be nice too, but i haven't even seen an adapter offered for that one. then you have to try and get it to be as short as the snub tailed c-6 used for divorced xfer....
