I used to build custom motorcycles and if you want to do one off parts at home I may be able to send you some work here and there from some of the other guys I know still building. I actually have a piece I need made that would be very easy to do. If you are interested in some side work now let me know. PM me if you want

Just out of all curiosity why would you not be able to make those? What types of machines are you using 3 axis 5 axis or just manual mills. If you had access to a CMM you could easily calculate the geometry and write some G&M code up or use surfcam or something of the like. (that is if you ran an NC)
I have seriously thought about taking something like that in and running them on one of our old MC4V Okumas but then sanity kicks in and I realize that It would not be good for me to tear down a dedicated "flight control manifold" mill to run some maveirick parts... maybe when I hit the Idaho powerball :rofl2:

The mill i run at work is a 5axis vtc mazak mill. Her is the problem we only use the software that is on the machine. Every thing i do on it is my numbers, nothing from cam software. If i had 3d software like mastercam or something i could do it. If i get a machine at my house i would like so get software to do that stuff. If you seen the maverick i cut out that was just me putting some numbers in and running with it.

The maverick looks good especially for a point to point run.

I wish I could still do my own projects but the shop I am in now does not allow that.

Can you, or will you be able to work from dimensioned drawings?
    Can you accept DXF formats?
My tooling is all manual - no CNC ot number entry so I may be able to send a couple of small projects.
Anything I send you can feel free to make and sell to anyone that wants it. (unless otherwise noted on the paperwork/project.

I work off of dimensioned drawnings every day. As for as dxf files we accept them at work but im not able to at home. I dont really want to mess with work, kinda scared of getting fired. If i can help i would be glad to. :Handshake Mike

I know things have been put on hold for a bit, but, I wanted to cast my vote for AOD cross-members and billet grilles. :thumbs2: Thanks.

I don't think this was mentioned but what about the overhead light? There is a guy on one of the F1oo forums building the lights out of billit. A lot of people were wanting them and he was building a lot of them.

I was actually thinking this too!

Too bad I'm no longer running a stock intake...

    Would still be cool though.

    maverick logo center caps

Here is one of my wheels before I repainted them on my 74 mav. I have magnum 500 wheels on it and I took the maverick emblems (like the center logo on the grill) from the inside door panels from two doner mavericks and cold welded them to the center caps. I think it almost looks like something that could have come from the factory. I think maverick center caps would be a cool project for a machine shop.
