Alright...My 302 in my Mav is squeaks when i go to rev it just for a second. I am not sure what that is maybe i need to just oil up the belt?!? Also the car overheats or gets really hot pretty easy. I am going to clean out the radiator soon and don't know what else it might be?? Thanks for the help!

People probably need more information to help you. Is this a stock older engine? Any upgrades to it. Have you recently changed something in the cooling system such as a water pump? Sometimes when you open up the cooling system it is hard to get all of the air out.
Sounds like you may have a loose belt but the cooling issues might be anything

you say a 302. :idea:Well I have a 302, with a shroud, 190 stat, 7 blade fan(steel) and a stock rad. never overheats even when in Joplin and it was 105 at the track.Put all of these on yours and you should have no problems either. I'm not a advocate of clutch fans or aluminum fans either. Just don't use a 4 blade fan. Use either a 6-7 blade fan. They came on AC cars. JMO (y)

The bearings in a water pump can squeak when they are dying.
Also, if the bearings start to seize, they can put stress on the belt and cause it to slip/squeak... So the water pump would be the first place I look.

You do have oil pressure, right?

If the squeak only happens in reverse then check your u-joints (remove the driveshaft to check them) and if they are in good shape (even if they aren't) check your differential fluid level.
As for the overheating. check hoses (soft bottom hose can collapse), belts (no oil, ever) and belt tension. If you don't have a shroud, install one.
Have the radiator checked and flushed along with the engine.
