For anyone that is interested, and an NHRA member, there is a pic of a Maverick and handsome driver in this weeks National Dragster Magazine on page 69.
I don't need any sly remarks from someone who's wife wouldn't let him come to the track last Saturday night so he could be with the boys, Tony.I don't have any way to scan it as I'm up in the mountains this week. Rest assured the driver looks really good in the picture as he has his helmet on. We have a "Run for the money" and we all put in $10. Whoever is closest to their ET wins 60%. I dialed 12.00 and ran a 12.000. It paid $354.And yes I was LUCKY. If no one else scans it I'll try to get it before Monday.
Yes the spouse pretty much calls the shots... but it's better that way...I don't have to think any more! Sadly, I'm ok with that! My son graduated from high school on Monday and we are having a party on Saturday for him. So the list of honeydo's between now and then is long and impressive! One of my projects last weekend was to move the Maverick out of the garage and over to Carl's house. I figured that I can use this as an excuse to install the roll bar. You're more than welcome to come on over on Saturday Don if you don't mind driving the 30 miles to join us!
30 miles? Did you move? last I knew Surprise was almost 100 miles from me. Speedworld is over 100 from me. At least you know you were missed.
I don't remember the reaction time. I think it was .071. If you red light you lose right away, but the only thing that counts is your ET. MPH was about 116.
I saw that Don; always neat to get some exposure in a national publication of any kind. One for the collection! I'd love to have my hands on a Wally or an IronMan while having my picture taken....some day.
