I'am not sure what order the new strut rod bushings go, they are a little diffrent than the stock ones. Heres a pic of the stock one. heres some pics of the new parts and the order I think they go. All rubber bushings have the letter F on them, I assume thet point towards the front of the car or could it mean they face each other?

Well looking at it again, I believe I need to take the front bushing from pic 2and 3 and turn it around so, both of the cone shape goes up against the big washer, beacause the big or wide part of the bushing is the same if not a little bigger than the washer. Some ones bound to have purshased the same kit and figured this out. Thanks Robert

I have the same parts from Kentuky mustangs.I dont think they are correct for our application. The conical ends face the "washers" but there is nothing to support/locate them in the front crossmember where they are supposed to go like the old ones which have a rubber portion that fits in the cross member.I dont think the stepped washer is going to do the trick.remember...these are mustang parts from a mustang parts house.not everthing will cross over to our cars.I am currently useing the original front bushings on my sprint with the new bushings on the back side till I get parts I am happy with.

i prefer to keep the origanal ones. if your car is lowered it puts the strut rod at a angle throught the bushings. if the busings are to stiff the strut rod will snap.

I'm using the same ones on my car. I'll go look and see how I installed them. They work great.

The arrangement is pic #2 BUT the wording is backwards.
Should read Front-rear for that pic.

Here's mine. Sorry, everything is dirty and they don't really look new anymore, but they were new in October 2007. My car is a daily driver.

I didn't use the cup looking piece you have in the center. These bushings were made to fit many different cars, even some Chevys, and the instructions said those parts were for a different application.

WHY IS THE WASHER FACING BACKWARDS? I SEE THAT FROM TIME TO TIME... BUT MOST THE TIME THE ROUND WASHERS CUP THE BUSHING:hmmm:

After hearing every ones input and the pics , this is what I came up with. The stock front bushing has a mushroom look pic 1 and the new bushing does not but, the new kit did include that center plate that has a mushroom look in pic 2 and it also supports the bushing and goes into the frame hole tight. What do you think?

i think you have the wrong kit...:yup:

i wouldn't put the metal bushing next to the frame...

    the right kit should be...
    ...nut...washer...rubber...frame...rubber...washer...nut...

    ...:Handshake...

Flip the front rubber piece around and don't use the center plate. My kit had the center plate as well and I chucked it in the trash. The center plate is for a different application since these bushings fit several different vehicles.

Thanks, I will not use the center metal plate, the front rubber has to say that way because the wide end is bigger than the washer, it has to match the rear bushing and this setup matches the old rubber bushing with the wide end against the frame and the cone shape end facing the washer. Thanks , by george I think he's got it:rofl2::thumbs2:
