I just picked up a 73 2dr Maverick 6cyl stick and thought I would check in and say hi.:tiphat: I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this thing yet, it's a rock solid desert car but the interior is blasted. Here are some pictures of the car before I loaded it on the trailer. mav%20car%20001.jpg

That is a nice car. I would rather do interior work any day over body work and rust.
    Welcome from Florida.......

I drove around in Arizona a year ago and noticed that the cars are all dusty, not rusty. :thumbs2:

Ya, living in the desert has a couple advantages to a car guy. I was really hoping to find a 70, I wonder how hard it would be to find and use bumpers off a 70? I'm also thinking about a 70/71 351 Cleavland with 4v heads.

    My own Maverick is a 1970 (69.5) with a 72 Q Code 4V 351 Cleveland. The engine now has been stroked to 393 cubes.:chirp:

The early bumpers can be fitted to the later Mavericks. Just do a search and you will find the info that you need.:thumbs2:

I was there for the Dessert Thunder boat races a couple of weeks ago. My wife and I rode up on our Goldwing. We met up with JMGFord up there also.:)

Welcome to the board. Don't know if you'd be interested in a freshly rebuilt, zero miles Cleveland with 2V heads. My brother lives near Tucson and has one he doesn't need.
