But it looks like this: :(

Car is a '72 Grabber with a 250/C4. Rusty and totally stripped. First Grabber I've ever came across in the junkyard though.

I take it that the rest of the grabber parts are gone. About a yeasr ago I fould a 71 grabber in pull a part but the hood and spoiler were gone. I did get a nice bumper though. I am wondering if it had them when it came in

    Bastards.

Yeah, that's what they do at Pull-A-Part. They get a Maverick or Comet in there, and they open the damn hood with a forklift after ripping out the vent knob on the driver's side trying to pop the hood. I have seen three done this way. Two of them had decent hoods before they did that.

Come on Jamie...time to sharpen up on your bodywork skills. A hammer, dollie, little body filler, will be like new again. Oh, and when it looks like new, I'll hire you to come work for me!!!

:mad::mad::yikes::rant2::Blasting::banghead::cussing::cry:... and all that good stuff. I agree with cdeal. some people are just so stupid. a little "herd thinning" never hurt anyone... or well, maybe it did hurt, but only for a little bit.

    Cool find!

I've run across two Grabbers in junkyards here ... one it 1981 and another in 1996 or so. Doesn't happen very often. Hoods were junk on both of them.

The supply of Mavs/Comets in general had seemed to have dwindled over the past 10 years or so.

That being said ... I think the rough economy is shaking some of these cars out of the woodwork here lately. Been seeing some again, probably due to people having to move, etc.

missed a 71 grabber at a auction sale last fall sold for a hundred bucks. Over 700 vehicles there Wrecker was buying them and flattening them for the metal. Just about cryed when I heard about it. Some people should be hung.

People always destroy the best parts of cars, why tho they could have sold the grabber hood and got money for it. I guess some people don't know that these are worth money.

they're chevy guys and they couldn't stand it intimidating all their other cars in the yard and makin em shake themselves apart even faster. (and they were tired of cleanin up the oil leaks they left behind.)

It's all about the $$$, and with the economy, all the scrap dealers see is $$$ in scrap metal. Value? History? Nostalgia? It means nothing - just another job. These people aren't hired to appraise, and probably 75% of these morons wouldn't recognize a Maverick if you put one in front of them - and pointed at the name badge.
