Figured I'd finally post a quick vid of my Maverick. The truck runs GOOD...just a run-of-the-mill 358 SBC. Mine ran a 6.07 on the 6.06 dial at 116. I am not happy with the converter. It's an 8" BTE CCX stator which tends to give up a tenth or two but it's super consistent. May eventually go to a conventional C stator 8" which will leave a lot harder and MPH better.

Randy yes I got tired of yellow a couple years ago and decided to shave the door handles and clean up some of the nasty body work that I had done when I bought the car many years ago. The yellow was fading badly. The stickers made it look too much like a race car. I prefer the "clean" look (no stickers). Once I pulled a few stickers off, the bright yellow that was still underneath looked goofy. So I decided to do a color change. Originally after I sprayed the color, it looked like garbage. Runs, nibs, everything. I sprayed 5 coats of color. Afterwards I spent a couple weeks wetsanding & buffing. Came out fairly well. Of course a couple years later, it's already showing signs of "race car scars"....nicks, pits, dings, etc. I try to keep on top of it but you can't prevent it all if you're actually going to race it.
