Thanks Jimmy. Like the man said his neck and wallet is on the line. I think he would know enough to make sure of the quality or they wont sell and he owns them. From what I know off this board he sounds like a pretty smart cookie when it comes to business and investments. Put me down for a set. I trust the mans judgement.

I think in the Maverick world, we need to take what we can get. It's not like there's an abundance of bumper repops. Thanks Jimmy.

Jimmy; I will be interested if they are of good quality and the price is reasonable. Thanks for taking a chance for us, and I think that in spite of the comments, your efforts are appreciated.

Thanks for your efforts Jimmy. I might be interested in a set for my 70 Grabber. Depends on price & quality. Sure wish you would've went ahead with the louvers (side windows & rear). I would've gotten a set or two...
Thanks for all you do Jimmy...

maybe for some of the chrome nay sayers we could order some in bare metal and the buyer can take it to the chrome shop of there choosing.

i priced having mine straightened and chromed for only 250.

Thats cheap compared to around here. The regs are so strict on the chemicals now only a few places left and they charge accordingly. Place in Toronto wanted 500 to straighten and chrome my rear bumper.

By "worn out", I assume that you mean that the chrome plating is bad. I would make sure that what you send are dead straight. I have a good friend in the die-cast car business. He has shown me where the Chinese have duplicated things like a split and curled dash pad, and dented sheetmetal from his photographs, in their prototypes that are sent back for approval. They are good at copying (sometimes too good)! :D Best of luck on this.

Did I come off as negative agreeing that a lot of Chinese products are less than high quality? I hope not. I would REALLY like a set of small bumpers. If the price is kept low I might be able to afford a set. Being a general repair mechanic I deal with chinese parts all the time. I have to weigh the choice of quality and price to get the best bang for the buck for my customers. Even if the chrome is bad and the fitment is not quite right(not saying it will be), a straight bumper from anywhere can look great. Please get some pricing together, I'll start saving for a set.

this is exactly how i feel. the avalibility for all of us to get NOS stuff just isnt there, and how many of us are honestly building concourse restos? i dont imagine very many... in most cases with these cars, we gotta go with what works

Jimmy, you have my support. As long as I can afford it I'm in for a set of bumpers. $600+ for rechroming is out of my budget and will be for a long time, so I don't care if they're made by penguins in Antarctica. They will sure look a lot better than the black painted ones my Maverick is wearing now. If I was building a show car or a perfect restoration and I wasn't supporting my household on a single income things might be different. But my Maverick is a driver and I still have to shop at Wal-Mart and Harbor Freight, so bring 'em on.
