had a friend call me the other day about a group buy on 3 mavericks and 1 comet. went and looked at them today and bought them. now i have to make 4 trips to central TN here's the list and overall specs on each: 1. 1970 Grabber, original grabber blue in color, black interior, rare white side stripes, 5 lug rear, front disc, no engine/trans 2. 1973 2dr LDO, 250, auto, p/s, a/c, complete but wrecked in dr fender, really rusty (parts car) 3. 1974 Comet (GT?), originally a 302/auto car but no engine/trans, floor shift column and trans hump still in it but no seats (bucket seat car), sport mirrors, pretty much a rolling chassis (parts car) 4. 1975 4dr, 302, auto, p/s, a/c, green on black, complete car with good running gear (parts car) here's some pictures.... enjoy! http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i82/mean_maverick/group buy in TN/
cool... I need a V8 power steering bracket complete... I purchased one from fleece-bay and it is bent...-mel-
SCORE. That is a sweet buy especially the rarer and far superior Comet. Floor shift column is something I am jealous of.
cool !!!! you might know the answer to my question... I saw a pic of an aluminum power steering bracket or are all mavericks have steel brackets ????
yeah, they used an aluminum wersion in the late '70's but not for sure what they came on. i have one of those as well
yup, the LDO, 4dr and comet will all be parts cars. the Grabber will be put back together, it doesnt need much and the interior is in pretty good shape
Looks like a heck of a score Dave!!!Keep this up and you may just become THE go to guy for Mav/Comet parts...
At least they will be used to fix other Mavericks and Comets or be restored and not just sit there and rot, nice score indeed.
Nice grab. Its up to you Americans to stock pile these cars before they get crushed. Slim pickins up in this neck of the woods.
just doing what i can to help. there's guys that have been doing this longer than i have been alive, so im just doing my part :Handshake thanks again guys! the support is great! and for the most of you, you guys understand why i part most of them out. like previously mentioned, the more parts that are out there, the more cars they help build
