Sorry I don't know which is better.

Wish I had gone to school.
You're definately doing a smart thing.

i'd have to say uti, dude its the hot rod school! then again have you heard of sams its in houston also...i'm trying to talk my 16 year old to go there... from what i've learned is that uti and sam is the tops...uti is basics with some hot rodding thrown in and sam is building engines... if i could i'd do both... but i'm going to stick to uti for now

They have a uti here in Phoenix. SOme of my friends and co workers have gone there. The hot rod part is a joke. THey put togethor a chevy 350, and put it in a car and dyno it. No big deal since the same engines are taken down and put back togethor and back in the same car over and over. I have heard the Arizona Automotive institute is just as good of a school for less money.

    Aother Choice....

The School of automotive Machinists will teach you how to do everything regarding rebuilding an engine.

If you're strictly after engine performance I wouldn't know but I got the opportunity to attend McPherson College in Kansas for an auto appraisal course and I was truly amazed at what they teach in this school. I figure they had about 50 or so cars there in some part of the restoration process. It is supposedly the only college in the country where you can get a degree in Automotive Restoration. I'm a little too old to be going back to school myself but I sure would love this one if I were able to. I am providing the link to the school for anyone that wants to take a peek. It's an awesome school. Anyway, good luck wherever you go and don't have too much fun like my youngest son did recently his first two semesters. I had to pull his butt out and put him to work. He'll get to help foot the next bills. :D

If your girlfriend really cares about you and your future together she would let you attend the school that is best for you. If it is meant to be you will both stick out the tough times.

Go uti. I had a friend of mine graduate from there a couple of years ago. He loved it. Great education and he gets payed for doing what he loves. Lucky guy.

Doesn't UTI stand for Urinary Tract Infection? If so, I'll take Wyotech!

I don't know about Wyotech, but I have heard some less than favorable things about UTI!

I've heard bad about both. I felt UTI was a waste of my time and money, so I withdrew.
