Ok...I picked up a complete versailles 9in. Springs, disc brakes, even the old shocks are still there. I have been told this is a direct bolt in for a Maverick. Does that include the leaf springs...? I have the old ones, but they are 6 cylinder set with only 3 leafs. I have been having a problem with the car looking like it is about to do a wheelstand, even when it is parcked in the driveway..The car is going to spend just enough time on the street to get to the Dragstrip and then back home.. Any help on the size of the springs and/or help on the sagging problem would be great...Thanx in advance
The Versailles rear is indeed a direct bolt in, but the springs are not. Order yourself a pair of 4-leaf springs for a Maverick and you'll be good to go. I did the Versailles rear swap several years ago and although it's great having rear disc brakes, I actually think it's too big and clunky for the car. If I had it to do over again I'd have kept the 8 inch and just gotten a disc brake conversion kit for it. Just my opinion. Sam
9in versailles There was a thread/conversation a while back about a 97 ford explorer rear disc's being a direct bolt onto a 8in rear. someone can pull this up
I hate to say it, but I got it for about 1/2 what most would pay...But would sell for 600 and could deliver in Texas...If no bites at that price I will keep it. I already have 3rd member for it...3.50:1 with a locker...
