Master cylinder???

    1972 Grabber 302, 1973 Maverick my first car that is under restoration, 1972 Grabber and 1976 Maverick parts cars, 2012 Mustang GT, 2001 Lightning
    I have power brakes and it is leaking between the master cylinder and the vacuum booster. I tried to tighten it but it is still leaking. I forgot but is there a gasket I can replace or do I have to get a new master cylinder?

    Yep. Those bolts just keep it on the booster; there's no gasket between the booster and cylinder.

    dah..... that is how I bench bled it. A new master cylinder it is!!

    Hmm has anyone rebuilt a booster before? is it posible? i already have a new m.c.

    Are you talking about a brake fluid leak or a vacuum leak??
    If its brake fluid you got a bad one. Shouldnt have any fluid coming out the rear of the cylinder. Get it off the car before it starts filling the booster with brake fluid.
    If its vacuum you need a booster.
