I took the Maverick to its 1st. Car Show this yr. yesterday (I've been showing the Aspen) & would'nt you know I have to enter the modified class 65' to present. I got 3rd. behind two 72' Novas, one of which I got beat by 2 yrs. ago for 2nd place! Don't take me wrong I'm happy getting a 3rd place trophy it's just that ALL day long I had a crowd of people around my car asking ALL kinds of ??? & those two did'nt even get out of their chairs! I guess I feel some of the judging should be done on you as well as your car but, I guess not at this one. Had a Great time though, lots of Nice people & tons of stories about Maverick & Comet cars. Good Luck Everyone!:tiphat:

Oooooh! I love Novas! Ya get any pictures of them?:sarcasticclap:
The real question is were there any 60s Camaros or Mustangs?

The last show I went to there were several Novas, Mustangs and Camaros but only one of our cars. Everybody walks by the same old same old but they always pause and look at what we have because it's different and everyone has a Maverick story.
    Congrats on winning the bronze.

:( I here you, although I didn’t enter my car I ended up parking at the end of the row at the H.A.F.B. car show making it look like an entrant. The only people whom seemed interested and came to look at it closely were the two judges Col. Meddler and her husband I had to zip over there and tell them it was not an entrant; she did however reply I should have entered it. No surprise I guess it just like the Comet I spotted at the Logans run car show hardly anyone really looked it over maybe because they are to imbarrassed to guess what it is.

ahh ya. America prefers chevy too ford though. Good job on the 3rd place.

the only chevy's ide ever own are a nova and a chevelle...all the others dont interest me.

some day, more people will appreciate mavericks and comets though!

Oh but I did get called a Mustang by one dad. Then his son said " Dad it says its a Maverick Grabber!" the dad said " It's a kit Car, Ford never made a Grabber!" Too bad the kid was smarter than his Dad! Gotta Love It!
