Very aggravated at the moment, so I thought I would vent a little. About three weeks ago, a driver, on his cell phone, rolled through a stop sign on a right hand turn and clipped the left front bumper as I was stopped waiting to turn left. He is clearly at fault but his insurance company is denying liability. Body shop says will cost about $1250 to fix. Will have to fight it out in court....lots of time and aggravation.
You should have hit him a couple times before any cops or anybody showed up and just say he bumped his head a couple times during the wreck.

Wow that sucks! And it looks like such a nice bumper, get it fixed, keep the big bumpers! Some people just don't have taste.
actually the fender is slightly dinged but about an hour with a hand anvil and you wold never know. as for the Insurance denial, let yours deal with them. if you have a good agent it should never get to court....
I thought by california law if the damage appears more than $500 you supposed to have a police report
that in itself is the problem, even with a grabber the cops and others involved seem to think its a POS. when the semi truck backed into my wife and dented the grabber hood, bent the passenger side fender and bent my front bumper. they seemed to think it was funny and told her that they would give her $50 if she just let it go. she told them no way in heck and got their info. even their insurance adjuster wanted to give me $1000 bucks and just call it total. i pulled up the price for the parts with no labor 1200, the price at the time for a blue book grabber in low range was 4500, and the body shop i took it to quoted 2500 with labor(which was actually a low ball) then took it to my insurance agent and he reamed them. needless to say they "settled" for me doing the work. (i really was sweating the crease in my hood, but when i tell this to guys at the shows and show them where it was they just scratch their heads )
