Here is a few good questions for the suspension experts.
I just did my front disk brakes swap on my originally drum brake Mav.
I replaced the top ball joints as the ones on car had the rubber booth destroyed by time. and now here is my question......
Do I need to have the car realigned after I did all this work or not?
Car was perfectly aligned before the swap.
Also, Is anyone running Mustang brake calipers on their cars?
When I did the swap I got new calipers and brake hoses and after several trips to the Autoparts I ended up buying mustang ones because the Mavs would not be the same. The brake set-up I got came from a Mexican built Maverick.
And lastly, DO I need to change the prop valve that is on the car for one specific for disk brakes or are they the same or does the one for the drum brakes work?

The drum brake valve on my car works fine with the front discs. I would definitely get the alignment checked.

As a rule of thumb...anytime you do anything to the suspension an alignment is needed.

My car didn't have a proportioning valve. I'm just going to get an adjustable one.
