California meet.

Who would be interested in a California meet? I saw in the last poll that we have a lot of people here in Cali. And I'm sure this has been discussed before or maybe there is a protocol on how to arrange a meet like this so I hope I'm not being a newbie.
Bryant and I were thinking it would be fun to have all the Cali people meet up somewhere locally, maybe on a Friday, then grab dinner and maybe some beers.

I think sometime in September would be good, what do you guys think?

hey Jay, whatever happened to your trans, ever figure it out?
I have to see how I can get a sat or sunday off, my work isn't that flexible but if other prefer that might be better. Especially since Friday traffic will be nauseating.

 

we need to have one closer to the north end, so all the bay area guys can be there.... also i dont think i can make one for a while, here it is hot august nights and my car is on jacks i have some time off in sept if i get it back together by then..

come down to southern california by newport or huntington beach we can meet up by the beach or something

 

there will probably need to be norcal and a socal meets out of convenience, my car is nowhere close to being done but if it was i dont think it would drive it down south. i think a meet in san fran. maybe along the embarcadero would be cool. i could just imagine a line of mavericks and comets along the embarcadero just under the bay bridge, first round of beers at gordon beirsch on me. lets plan it for summer of 2012 when ill probably have my car done.

 

that sounds worth driving up for. check back in 2012 and ill see if im still up to it.

But, let's see how many people are interested in the southern cali meet and if more people wanna do it up north, I'll drive up, I don't mind. Let's aim for september.

I'll definitely buy a round of beer if we can get the southern cali one together.

 

I'm a northerner as well but would love to do it.

 

The san bernardino route 66 car show is in september. I missed the previous 2 years but i plan on attending this year.

 

im in so cal right now, on vacation in holly wood

 

figures the weekend of the route 66 show ive been scheduled to do a DR site test. probably be working all night for a few days straight with that one.....

 

It might be a great idea to do it on that same weekend as the route 66 event. That one is in San Bernandino Sep 17-20th.

So who can make it that weekend? We can do either Fri, Sat or Sun.

 

how about the weekend before? somewhere in the valley or in between north and south (san luis obispo?) i have to work that weekend... all weekend...
