Have any of you replaced your front bench seat? If so what did you pay for it? Can you find a good used one in a junk yard?

What would you pay to have the headliner replaced? Is this something an amatuer can do?

    Seat and headliner

From personal exsperience on both items I would suggest a couple of things. Take it to a professional, the headliner can be done by some but the results will vary as to how it fits and looks afterward. stretching, tons of messy glue and in some cases removing the winshield just don't make it worth the price at a shop. I bought mine from Auto-Krafters and a shop here in town installed it in less than a day for around a hundred bucks. As far as the seat, if the frame is good they can redo the covering and padding. Color and fabric may be a problem though, I bought a set of buckets from a 84 Stang and with a bit of fabrication on the mounting, they work and look great, even have electric lumbar adjustment for this old back. If you have the patients and a helper you may want to try the headliner yourself, many on this board have done it. Forgot to mention the place that put one in for me did it without removing the windshield. Good luck either way.

Thanks oldguy. I was told today of a mobile upolostry guy that will come to your house. The guy where I'm having my Maverick painted today says he think the guy will charge me about $130 including the fabric so I think I will do that to replace the headliner.

The bench seat yesterday I went crazy with duct tape to strengthen it and will put on the bench seat cover tomorrow. I think that should be good enough.

Where did you get the bench seat cover and how much did it cost?
