i like Flowmasters for their aggressive tone and depth. they tend to drone a little at highway speeds but i love it :yup:

I have Flowmaster super 44s, VERY loud and aggressive, a bit of drone around 1500 and 4000 rpms, but scare the crap out of all the ricers, and most passengers.

Do offset inlet with tubes running in on the inside closer to the driveshaft, and centered outlet for good placement under the car.

I don't really like flowmasters I have one chambers on it now, might end up going magnaflow.

Regardless of the muffler, inlet on the inside, exit in the center is the general way to mount them up.

(got the picture fixed so it comes up in my previous post)

offset in / center out fits best depending on what you do with tails

Thanks guys. More pics would be great. Even with tails is a center out the best route to go?

The blue Mav has 2 1/2" in and out with some old thrush turbo mufflers.
The Sprint has the same in and out with what appear to be Flowmaster 40s' or 44s' cant tell which.
    Both are offset inlet/center outlet.
Blue Mav has a deep but mello sound.Tail pipes dump behind rear tires.
The Sprint sets off car alarms if I get on it...LOL...Tail pipes run to the rear bumper...

Flows sound like every other Ford truck or Dodge out there plus that are said not to even flow that well according to what I have found on the web. I have Hooker Aero-Chambers on my F100 and will run them on my Maverick when I get that far along.
I pulled 2 40's off my truck and did nothing but add the Hookers and felt a seat of the pants feel and they sound great.
I also hear the Magnaflows are great.
    Just my 2 pennies.

I have Magnaflows, and I don't like them. I don't like the sound.

My flows sounded nothing like trucks..i hate how trucks sound actually. I have offset in and out,but thats because im rounting the tubes around the springs due to my larger 76 tank.
