to guard or not to guard?

?

What should I do with the bumper guards on my '72?

  1. Leave the guards, they look good!

  2. Ditch them, the car looks better w/o them!

I'm sure that some people have passed up buying a beautiful bumper just because of those extra guard holes.

if i paint it back green and put black stripes on it, i think ill put the guards back on. if i put the lime green stripes back on it, ill leave them off. (i think :))

    I don't understand this thread.

If you have a choice to ditch the uprights I'd ditch them instantly. My large bumper came with them and I kept them on just long enough to make it home before I removed them. They are still under the oak in my front yard. I think one has an ant city in it.

Now I have no front bumper and one of the guys I work with asked if I lived in "the house with the white mustang, 69 right?"

LOL yeah but no, I vote NO guards.
