front drum removale

    im getting ready to redo the front drums on my mav.now i have never touched drums on the front before and need to know how it comes off.
    do i remove the wheel bearing nut to remove the drum ?

    yes, there will be a cotter key and a nut and it the drum will slide off. remember to only do one side at a time so you can use the other side as a map.

    gotcha, plus i am having a friend help that knows a little more than i do he helped with my rear brakes so two heads are better than one.

    Also remember that the longer of the shoes goes to the rear.

    Does the longer of the shoes go to the rear in the rear drums as well? I'm about to work on drums for the first time :clap:

    Do 1 side at a time, use the other as a reference when you go back together, and vise versa.

    I was actually only referring to drums. Disc brake pads will be equal in lengths.
