i'll just be cruising down the road at 30 mph, and motor just shuts off, electricity is still there, fans keep on, turn signals work etc.. i have pertronix elec ignition and coil. cap is not cracked, but had a little moisture inside whats looks like oil.. could it be my cap that keeps failing on me, or my solenoid, what could it be?

I chased a similar problem before...$100 later I found out the starter solenoid was bad.

I had the same problem. It was the blankety-blank petronix. I changed it and no more stalls.

Used to happen to me until I changed my coil out. It would get to the point where I would have to stop and wait for it to cool down before I could start it back up again.
