Will not sell to young drivers? I'd bet if some young driver came and waved $11,500 in his face that would change his mind quick.:rofl2:

After you put lots of blood, sweat and tears into something ... you don't want some 16 year old wrapping it around a pole the first weekend he has it. If i was selling my car I wouldn't sell it to a "kid" either ... unless the was a full grown kid like me! :)

Dittos that. Sorry.....these cars IMO are not for 16 year olds.

:bs: I got mine when i was 16. I wonder how old some of the original and second owners were back in the day. who else is going to keep the fun going?

Edit: I think you meant just this specific kind of hotrod....aaaaan I dunno. I wouldn't have wrecked it :D

You're right. Probably shouldn't be able to drive a V8 car until well into one's 40s or 50s.

I understand that some people care for the car they build and I would too, but if you really cared that much...Why sell it. The only thing I can think of to validate that...would be falling on hard times. Granted, I haven't read the original ad (craigslist is now blocked at work) so I don't know his situation. But I just feel that the only time one should pick and choose who to sell to, is one fallen on hard times.

Meh, I was 19 when I bought this. Around 1800 pounds with a built 302. I should have died or been hauled off to jail multiple times in that car. :rofl2: Quote from one of the times I got pulled over by a state trooper: "What's your problem boy, haulin' ass?" :biglaugh:

No son of mine would own a car like that as a teenager. I KNOW what I did. :rofl2:

My first Comet, the white one below, almost did kill me three seperate times before I made it to 22 years old. ... and yes, I was driving like an a$$ each time. Two of those three times would not have happened in a new Mustang GT.

It did get wrapped around a pole by the 16 year old that bought it in less than two weeks.

These cars do not handle or brake anything like a modern car. You need a lot more finesse to drive an old car on the edge, compared to new stuff.

I can see the 500 horses just oozing from that green paint. The hood scoop alone probably adds at least 50 hp.

Nice looking car from the pictures shown but at 11.5K, better get the Kodak out and show just a little more detail than that.
