After driving my mav for the first time I was pretty convinced that I should switch to bucket seats because it felt like driving a pickup truck. My friend came by to look at it and said she liked the bench seats. They would make cruising alil more "comfy" with a companion than the buckets :D. Anyone know a way to make the bench seat feel more sporty or comfortable? maybe lowing it or tightening the springs or something... idk.

As long as your fabric isn't dry rotted, any decent auto upholstery shop can beef up the padding in them for you. It is not expensive if they can reuse all the old fabric.

haha. you guys are funny. what back seat? our car's have tiny back seats. I want to take mine completely out and just put padded carpet down as a chill area. So do all bench seats feel like driving a small pickup truck then? just feels like it sits so high. Maybe I can cut part of the bottom off at some point or add some washers so that the seats leans more to the back. Can't decide if it's just my seats or not. I do think the bench seats are a keeper tho either way. I'm still young - I like my fun. :thumbs2:

I kept my bench. Looks different with the Hurst shifter. Everyone does the bucket thing. My bench is pretty comfy but its a bit low if anything. Gets recovered this Winter so maybe he can stiffen it up a bit.

Take that girl for a ride. I think you missed the hint. :)

Really, I swapped my old truck from buckets to bench, and that was the first thing every girl noticed that'd ridden with both seat setups. My truck was suddenly much more "comfy" or "nice" than the buckets. You missed a hugantic hint with that one.

word. I might have to fabric then. pretty set on taking that back seat out. I wonder if that will make my insurance go up...

yes bench seat is staying. Didn't really miss the hint, but I want to enjoy riding in the car even when there's not someone else in there too..
