OK so this guy comes up to me at the park and ask if that my maverick and I said yes sir. HE siad you wanna sell it? His daughter whos prbly 14 has always wanted a maverick. HE told me to come up with an price and let him know, but i have no ideal where to start? IT a 71 2 door with a 302. IT has a new summitt 600 carb, edelbrock rpm air gap intake, but the rear main seal leaks and it has trouble keeping oil pressure. We had the transmission rebuilt probably 3 months ago. IT has rust in the right rear quarter, under the grabber hood lip, and the cowl leaks. IT has drums all around, and had the front brakes redone about 2 months ago. It has 4 lug in back but i have a 5 lug that i would sell with it. I paid 3,000 (probably to much) but how much do yall think i should sell it for?

heres pictures of when i bought http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=51730

Well im in college and its my daily driver and driving back in forth between school and work i probably put gas in it every other day, and i had to cut back my hours so there is extra less money than before to play around with.

$3500 seems good, but i say why not keep it instead, if you part with it down the road you will regret it.

If you haven't told them about this place yet and still have their number, you should let them know. I'm positive that they will find just what they want here at one point or another, I know I did!

Besides, the wealth of knowledge here is immeasurable! :thumbs2:

    Keep It

    Hi Zack,

I have followed Maverick - Comet prices on Ebay for about two years like a hawk. Top dollar for your Maverick is about $3,000 at the moment. It would be an easy sell at $2,500. Sorry - a really sharp Grabber clone with a mild but nicely worked 302 brought $ 4,300.00 last month. No rust, nice wheels and tires, paint about 8.0 out of 10, and I am picky - I guess you see my point. Best of luck with school, and pray that gas prices stay down.

    Regards,

    David
