I tried to get some better pics, but my camera died on me. It's only like that on the one side. However, it is rusted through the tail panel almost half way across.

If the front of the car is still really good, I would say Pro-Street it and do a back-half frame kit.

But just looking at these pics ... I think the front might be kind of rough too.

Rust is like an iceberg ... there is a lot more there that you can't see.

I'd like to see some more pic's. But I think you need to make a list of the good and bad, for both cars, and use the better of the 2.

Actually the front of the car is in excellent shape. The only rust is the battery box and it doesn't go all the way through the fender apron underneath. Really the only other problem is the floor pans, which I guess is to be expected. I will try and get more pics posted, my camera is acting up on me. The Grabber is definatly going to be fixed, I'm about to start on it now. The other car may just sit under a tarp in my building until I can get everything needed to fix it or until I can decide what to do with it. Pro-street would be great, but I'm afraid I don't have the funds for that. That is unless I win the lottery, so everybody keep your fingers crossed.

    BTW... I'm a girl :p

If your budget can't afford a pro-street car...wait till you try a restoration.

    Opps!!!

I guess if I parted with cars that were has beens, I would not be able to do half the jobs I do now. It has been labor of love projects that have taught me the most. If you have the space, and can keep your longtime owned car out of the weather, why not keep it to do some other day. If you have an easier project, put that on the front burner and cook.

My thoughts exactly! The Grabber will be first on the list just because it requires the least right now. After that we have a Dodge Dart to finish up and then my turn will come around again and hopefully something can be done with the Maverick. Gulupo got me to thinking... my father in law has a back half out of a Torino sitting out behind his house, it may be just what I need to get me on the right track ;)

Personally. if I were going to save the car I would find a parts car 4 door (they're cheaper that 2 door cars) with the parts I needed and transfer them over to your car.

Not only could you get the frame parts you need, but if you're lucky you could get the trunk pan too. After you get what you need, the rest of the parts could be sold and the stripped hulk scrapped to help recoup your investment (if not make a profit).

    Hope this helps,
    -Scott H.
