I didn't know that there was that much of a choice out there. I thought you just bought what you got and had to figure out how to make it work.

It is nice to know that there are guys out there willing to make parts that make it work for you.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
your just compensating for something ;)

blue, white, puke yellow everyone gets confused. but your right it is the blue one. white one is N/A but man i am getting the itch to put one on my white car.. at 9lbs it would be a instant high 10sec car! i thought about doing a vortech like ErickMav but way too much plumbing for me. i want easy! getting lazy!

    right ;)

mine says holley on it. but that was right when they bought the rights from B&M but now they call it a weiand. i guess it fit better in to weiand product line.

if i had a chance, i'd run one of those new maganacharger TVS blowers on one of my mavericks. way more efficent then the old school dryers or GMCs as well as any other pre 1990's roots out there. (and before anyone gets their panites in a bunch i'm not talking about top fuel blowers) way cooler intake charge not to meantion you can run water to air intercoolers on them with heat exchangers on them. i run one of the older one magnacharger on my everyday car... i love it! hum? maybe i should just put a LS2 or LS1 in my maverick :dancing:

now wouldn't that look cool in a maverick... DOH! i've gone to the darkside [IMG]

I don't doubt you run 32. 20 degrees initial 12 centrifugal = 32 degrees. What i will doubt is you running 32 degrees centrifugal. My arbitrary timing point is 25 degrees and 25 degrees is all i can move from this point either way.And this is with a large cap. Reworking the dizzy has nothing to do with the cap terminal spacing. That is why Ford went to the large cap is so they could run excessive timing without crossfire issues. And it was BDS,s tech department that actually sent me to Mallory Because they couldn't answer my questions. And as far as Dyers quality of work i cant comment, But i can only imagine being the oldest still surviving supercharger company still in business, They have to be doing something rite. But i have worked with some of BDS,s stuff and have not been very impressed with the quality of the pieces. We all love the big blowers, But some of us wants to go a different road. So i say why don't u try looking Thur other eyes instead of throwing off on everyone that don't travel the road you take.("I run a real one")(y) These negative comments are one reason i have just about quit posting or even visiting the site.
By the way 20 mpg is pretty impressive.

Your best bet is to call the Mallory Techs themselves. It is there product and they can give more thorough answer to these questions. Thanks BDS

That is the actual e-mail, cut and pasted.
It is apparent to me you know very little about timing advance or Rotor phasing. I Personally wasn't aiming anything at anyone. The man ask a question and i answered with the knowledge that i have gained from experience. The words that car show people don't care about the timing actually came from car show people. As long as it runs and doesn't cause any problems they are fine with whatever. I know because i just tuned a 6-71 Blown Small block Chevy not long ago. His answer was " I don't care as long as it runs and don't blow up". As far as MSD, I do run one of theirs but as i said its a large cap, BECAUSE you cant run 25 degrees advance and retard with a small cap dizzy. Its not physically possible. The Terminals in the cap are to CLOSE together, I have spent hours upon hours experimenting with timing to extract the most power and fuel mileage from a blown set up. There are several people that have a digital 7 ignition that is running one of the timing maps that i have written. I wasn't aiming anything at you in any post as i said i just give an alternative to an otherwise cut and dried situation. As far as me being in a glass house i could care less if anyone uses or believes what i post or not. But when i started building Blower cars there was no one to ask, And the ones that did know wouldn't tell. So I'm just posting my experience to maybe help someone and let them know there is an alternative, Not just one mans answer. By the way, Mr Dyer Did impress me with his knowledge of Blowers, He did know about rotor phase and what benefits ADJUSTABLE timing can have on a blown set up. There fore i have sent him all the customers i could. Like i was trying to do when you cut him down.

it also needs constant cold water running through it. I think if hot radiator fluid runs through it then it would defeat the purpose.

you cool the radiator fluid it acts has a heat exchanger. it does not use the same water as the motor.

the heat the supercharger creates is hotter then the water running though the cooler. my magancharger runs this type of set up.

oh I see, so a whole separate system like the intercoolers on the centrifugals?
