motor mount placement?

    On the 302 motor mount dose the long side of the steel part go twards the front of the block or the rear?

    never had mounts like that. i would think the long side would go to the rear

    The way you have it now(picture) is the way it will go on the driver side of the maverick. Use the long bolts and bolt it up.

    cool thanks for the info,will be good for when the 250 six cyl comes out and a V-8 goes in.

    yeah they fit fine. had them for a while. i was asking because i pulled the motor and for some reason the headers and about 1.5 inches from the exhaust flang and before they were dead on. was wonderin if i flipped them some how.

    I'm 90% that the shorter end goes toward the front of the car.
    The gauge would be your transmission would not mount if you had it
    backwards.

    How far away from the fire wall dose the motor sit? My fan is about 2 inches from the radiator.
