It's home - With Pics Now! (was Bringing one home) Well, hopefully by this time tomorrow I should be in possession of my Green '72 Comet GT. Plans are to drive up to VA tomorrow, pick it up, and pull it back. I'm hoping that the trip goes well and I don't see too much rain! I just realized he posted around midnight last night. So tomorrow is probably today (saturday) he's probably already gone.
Well, it's 11:30 and I'm just now getting to Martinsville, VA without picking up the Comet yet. On the plus side I WILL be getting it tomorrow! It's been an adventure so far. Between the IDIOTS at U-Haul renting my RESERVED truck and trailer out and my having to find another place open that had one and the nice rain drenched drive from Charlotte NC to just barely before the VA border I'm beginning to wonder if I should have stayed in bed this morning.... Nah, Tomorrow will be worth dodging the MORONS going way too fast and hydroplaning into the medians and ditches. I wish I had a video camera with me, I could have taken a few videos for ya'll to laugh at them with! Well, time to catch up with the postings and then I'm going to pass out for the night. Pics of the car will have to wait until tomorrow since I don't exactly have it in my possession yet. -Scott H.
Hey, it was listed on eBay fair and square! I didn't win the auction but ended up purchasing it when the winning bidder backed out of the deal. Sorry guys, I'm on the other side of the state. If I were visiting my Uncle that lives near Richmond, I would definitely call ya and see about meeting up! Maybe sometime in the future?
