Tody, are those emblems from the SUV type Maverick sold over in Europe or Austraila? I'm been looking for a set of these everywhere. Can you get more or point me to a source in Europe that would take Paypal and ship to the states?

    Thanks,

    Bob

I've emailed every source that I could find, including the dealer that Tom got his from, and 99% will not give me the courtesy of a response. The couple of replys, that I did receive, just said that they didn't carry them.

I looked everywhere as well. I would certainly buy a set if they were reasonably priced.

wow, this got some attention - can't you all read? it clearly says "For Stefan.." :rofl2:

these are the SUV type european emblems. they can be ordered by any (german) ford dealer, and a friend of mine who is doing the bodywork on my comet is running a dealership. i looked at the packaging, the only number looking like a part number would read 4161527. i'll wait until i get the invoice to see whether i can find out more.

in my opinion, these emblem don't fit vintage cars, but this surely is a matter of taste.

if you desperately want them, i can surely get some for you. i don't know yet how much they are, but with the euro that high, it might be cost prohibitive. maybe a group buy would be a good idea to have shipping costs to the states only once. i'll be visiting canada in a few weeks, so that's how this pair of emblems will cross the atlantic.

I saw the "for Stefan" part but, seeing the subject of these European emblems coming up in your post, I guess I went into selective reading and dove right in anyway

I agree that on a stock Maverick, these emblems may not quite fit in but they will be perfect for the overall look for my car.:yahoo:

Looking forward to any other info you can find out for us.

    And who the heck is this "Stefan"???- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -just kiddin' boss :rofl2:
