carberator help

    1977 maverick straight 6 keeps dieing husband changed pump in carbertor its worse any other suggestions:huh:

    can you be more specific? does it die when you start it up? does it die after it warms up? does it die coming to a stop? can you keep it from shutting off if you keep the accelerator down?

    all the above but i think we have it now after changing pump there was a little piece of hose in there that we had to tighten up with needle nose pliers but it seems to be running better than it has but we have just been driving up and down the road i guess well find out better after we actually go somewhere. thanks for replying nice car you have there

    mashori i read in your info that you have mustang seats are they bucket seats if so what year make and model

    I gor 66 mustang seats. They are buckets. Had them reupholstered and they fit well with just some new holes I had to drill.
