Wummer is when I'm thinking warm summer, and inadvertently type a combination of the two words.... because I have too many windows open right now. I'm too sober to use speljl czeck at teh momment. :bouncy:

There's still a place down the highway that if you ask for a coke they ask you what kind, the chicken fried steak is good. But the chicken fried chicken still has the feathers

Nope, wouldn't know about screw in studs either... :D

Even though I was born in South Georgia, I've lived in Germany, Kansas City Missouri, Covington Virginia, and on top of a Mountain in Maryland. It snowed in every one of those places. When dad got out of the Military, we moved back south to get away from the snow! (y)

With my having a bad left shoulder, a bad lower back, bad hips, and bad knees, I just don't get along with the cold temps anymore and would have moved to the south again anyway. The colder it gets, the less my body wants to move without pain.

Actually, they come in handy here in South Carolina too. It makes it easier to get rid of the winter frost. :biglaugh:

3 Weeks ago it was +30 Celcius.
Two days ago it was -23 Celcius.
Right now it's hovering around 0 and by Saturday it should be +20 again.
Calgary has an epileptic sense of weather.

Oh I just love the cold weather, wash your hair and go outside it freezes and breaks off, snot running down your nose to mustache freezes, fingers get so cold, well you better not be in a hurry to pee, feet feel like frozen popsicles (wife really loves it when I put them on her in bed) go to leave in your vehicle and it wont move or you take all the gravel around the tires with you, all the people with 4 wheel drives that think they are invincible.

On the brighter side it is the only time you can write your name, oh and dont eat the yellow snow

Today, we are getting a little welcome rain. The past 2 weeks have been Indian (H....ll), er, Summer with temps in the 90's each day. They say tomorrow will be in the 70's and sunny. Perfect for the Lake Mirror show in Lakeland where I will be. Great show. Our best weather is just beginning.

RAIN,RAIN,RAIN & cold!! I'm tired of no sun but by Sat. afternoon we are suppose to see the sun and get alittle better. Our farmers are about 3 weeks behind & not real pleasant to be around right now. Our corn moisture should be around 20% its more like 32% which means lots of LP gas to dry it @ alot more cost to them. So get ready for LP to go sky high in price it always does! Good Luck.

The center of the state of Florida rarely sees anything but some high winds, usualy 35-40 mph at the most and a good deal of rain from hurricanes. In the 18 years I have lived in Ocala, the only damage we, as a county, has ever suffered was from tornadoes in the so called "Storm of the Century" in the early 90's. This year, no hurricanes, period. I can remember numerous tornadoes that were generated in the Ky area, especially one in 1974, when I lived up there. Each area has it's problems. At least when a hurricane comes, you have ample time to get out. Not so with a tornado.

When I lived in Ky, a friend moved to Fort Myers, Fl. I called him up and asked him how he liked living in Fl. He said it was fine, but the people had this "Florida Mentality". I asked, what was that? He said, you know up north when the sun doesn't come out for weeks on end how grumpy and gripey that folks get. Well, down here it only takes 3 days because they are so used to seeing sunshine every day! Florida Mentality, got to love it!!

LOL I guess you would get spoiled after a while. I know we were in Disney in November and the weather was perfect. 75-80 daytime and nice and cool in the evening. Dont think I'd want to be there in Summer though. My brother did it last year in July. Next year hes going in november.

Unlike most of ya with your fancy dancy multiple vehicles I have to drive my Comet every day this winter.
Luckly my brother got a job at fountain tire so he's going to get me a deal on some good winter tires. I'm gonna get me some bags of sand to weigh down the rear end too. If anyone wants to donate a 302 to help weigh down the front end I'd appreciate it :p
The drive the other day was terrifying. This is my first time winter driving (I just got my license) and I don't think I hit the gas more than twice on my way to work. What normally is a 10 minute drive took over an hour. And even at 5 mph just tapping the breaks had me slipping sideways.

Real winter hasn't even started yet... sigh.
