    Does any one have tips for seperating the carier once axels and related bolts are removed?

    Sure

    sure..sure...but it's stuck on...I put my jack on it and the rear of the car is off the jack stands only supported buy the center section...it's that stuck.

    a screwdriver jammed between the housing and pig usually works too...but be careful with the iron & don't get carried away.

    You might want to make sure you have all the nuts and their washers off. It's cast iron and it will break.

    I just did this. Make sure you have all the copper washers off. Take a screwdriver and a hammer and work your way around. It takes awile...but will eventually seperate.

    I just did the samething. I pulled mine, puts Wards 3.55 in while I had my rear end set-up with the new gears.
    ****screw driver/hammer and patience.

    Three 71 Maverick Grabbers, a 72 302 Sprint, a 73 LDO 2door parts car, a 76 silver v8 Stallion.
    The copper washers are the main thing that's holding it in place. Once you get all of them all the way off it will come out fairly easy.
