I see Eaton superchargers for sale all the time for a couple hundred. Usually off a Tbird or truck or Cobra. They look good and I know they won't blow up a stock engine. Here is a photo of one on a slant six using a carb and a V belt. The carb plate thing seems easy enough to have made by any competent fabricator. It actually looks like square tubing. I guess the hard part would be the intake. Just something to look at.

As far as NOT blowing up a stock engine, That statement is not true. A stock engine can be blown up without a supercharger. I do understand what your saying but don't think they aren't capable of ruining a motor. To start with most blown motors are BURNT up instead of blown up ( probably over 90 percent). It is very easy to LEAN out a blower motor than it is naturally aspirated engine. I have one of those blowers in wait for when i get the Jeep stroker built. And in the day i did drive one of the Super Coupe Thunder birds, What i can remember it would make 10 psi of boost on the 6 cylinder. Its not the size of the Blower that "blows them up" its the tune or lack there of.
