    I know, another blower question:tiphat:
I'm worried about space when installing the weiand 174 and my taurus electric fan. Am I gonna be hitting the fan with the blower belt? The Weiand tech dude said that I could stick with a crank mounted fan (mechanical) and I should be ok. But I'm wondering if others have tried other options.

It really depends on the radiator, I ran a belt drove fan for awhile. It was one of those real small pitched blade fans. After the Griffin radiator i could no longer run the belt drove fan. This is what i run now, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PRM-19114/
I do run it as a pusher and have never had any problems. But its all gonna depend on the radiator.

do you run a shroud with that? my radiator is truely awesome. I gotta say with no fan whatsoever on it I can run on the street and freeway and it stays under 210. I even tried driving it today with the cabin heater off and still maintained under 210. Pusher means it's in front of the radiator right?
thanks, very helpful, maybe we'll do that with my car

nice! that's a nice engine compartment, a lot going on. That other radiator looking thing that sits in front of the actual radiator is missing in yours, is that replaced by that black thing on the right side?

the "radiator looking thing" in front of your radiator is an aftermarket transmission cooler which is what appears to be what Blown is running. i would suggest you guys get the small electric fan that mounts directly to that trans cooler, because it moves a lot of heat under load.... the factory one was a tank at the bottom of the radiator which transferred its heat through the stock radiator. the aftermarket style cool better, but the torque from a blower really adds strain to your trans...

It looks like the one on my car is part of the AC. It's a pretty big piece so mounting a pusher in that area might be hard unless I move the condensor.

yeah there is a factory one for A.C.... so what are you using to cool your trans? is there a built in tank on your radiator?

Yea Bryant pointed that out to me today that my trans lines run into the radiator.

There is actually one behind the trans cooler, Its a small 10 inch fan that pulls Thur the radiator and cooler. Although i don't even need it, After a 100 mile trip you can actually grab the cooler and it just barley warm. I do want to say that the trans shouldn't heat anymore with a blower as not with one. If there is no clutch slippage there shouldn't be any extra heating. However a blower will tell on a bargain barn converter and that is where your extra heating comes from.
