    lol yea it was like 6" or 7" deep,i got little front tires so they didnt absorb much of it,instead it all went to the mount,the other bolt was ripped out and theres still metal in the threads.

    Geez ... and you don't even live in Michigan ... (worst potholes I've ever seen ... ;) )

    Any one else ever have this happen? Pretty odd ...

    Maybe a change is in order here? ... make the mount tougher by doing away with the threaded inserts. Use grade 8 bolts and nuts with a washer fitted inside to the mount to spread out the load? Not a lot of room in there, but I would opt for a trimmed fender washer rather than a smaller one that fits easier.

    I agree that your combo of small tire, spring, and shock is probably severe in some aspect.

    Does your car still have bumpstops?

    These are good questions. I've never seen one do this before. Sounds like something in the setup needs to be changed. :hmmm:

    The shock are supposed to be stock replacements i got em at autozone,I plan on goin with The grade 8 set up,and the whole front suspension needs new bushings,its on my long list of things to do...

    Oh no! That sucks man!
    Looks like a simple fix if you can find the part though. I run small front tires and my shocks and springs are factory...good luck.

    at least its a bolt on fix, check that it didnt crack your shock tower inside. been welding and sanding since august because of one i "found" on a cali highway :(
