I would try an get as much $$$ back from both these,,, whatever you want to call them! It's not always easy, try some car shows, stop guys with older nice cars, ask around for someone who does good work an stands behind it! Cheapest is not always best! Just throwing that info in.

Gas tank guy should've rechecked an confirmed the leak an explain what needs done.

Brake guy should've looked car over an find out what makes car pull ! It may not be brakes as stated, but if he was on the ball, the problem would've been explained and another work order made to fix! Great way to make a repeat customer an more profit!

Hope some one will direct you to a quality repair shop! Good Luck

Both of these problems sound like very basic things that shouldn't be hard at all to diagnose and fix. Sounds like some pretty sorry mechanics around there, or they just don't care.

Help a Maverick brother out. :thumbs2:

Okay- I parked over my ditch this morning and found the hole before I even turned on the flashlight. Why couldn't the shop find it in 2-1/2 months?

take a pic of the problem.you can get a putty that is made for patching holes in gas tanks.knead it together for a minute and squish it over the hole.

    Where was it at?

Because they're not mechanics, they're plug and prey parts changers! :cussing:

Sadly, a good many, but not all of the so called mechanics in the shops now days couldn't do anything if a computer didn't tell them what was wrong and how to fix it!

Sorry if that offends anyone, but around here it's the truth. Good, honest mechanics are hard to find anymore (even in the dealerships). If you do find one, support them in any way you can! Even if it's just by telling everyone you know about them so they can stay in business, it helps out!
