Went a 14.34 @ 91.1 mph with a 1.96 60ft. With 3.00 gears and BF Goodrich Radial T/As. This winter I've got 3.50 gears ready to go in, some sticky tires, exhaust cut outs and 13s here i come :bananaman
I can only stall it to about 1,200 or i blow the tires off of it. lol. If i had some better tires, i could make use of this converter...
Just curious on the set up details. Mine goes 14.50's at about the same MPH, but has a 2.06 60ft. Stock 86 Bird shortblock, 750 Holley with the secondaries wired closed. I also have 3.00's, and some 3.50's to put in. Skinny street tires, but no traction problem.
Motor is a flat-top 306, stock iron heads, stock valvetrain, Ford Aluminum intake (which im told was originally from a mid eighties mustang),600 holley double pumper, MSD 6-AL box/distributor. tranny is a basic C4, tires are 245/60-14 Hope this helps
