At the Maverick Roundup drag race in Kentucky, my car had to be pushed onto the trailer. The tongue was not latched down. The tongue of the trailer buried into the back of the tow vehicle bending the hatch. It was a hoot. I tell you whut. Yup.
I had a similar situation, my wife backed the truck up to the trailer (she races the truck) after a long day of racing, she always guides me onto the trailer so I pull up and car gets the front tires up on it a little ways and up comes the tongue, she had not latched it. She was straddling the tongue and lets just say that its a good thing she has long legs because another inch and she would have been in orbit. Glad tailgate was up or it would have got it Needless to say I do all the hooking and unhooking of trailer now.
I hope everything went well I hope you have it by now Mike ,ive been out of the loop for a month,I pm ed you. cheers Jimmy . Ill check back in a few days .
When it quits raining, you know about July When I get it off the trailer and in the garage we will get some jackstand racing pictures, lots of them as progress continues
40' onto trailer. Thats all the car is used to doing Sorry Rick couldnt resist Scooper drove it a few blocks when it was loaded and didnt have anything bad to say except it had a fuel leak.
The bad things when I drove were the fuel leak, and a couple of semi-flat tires from sitting. But aired them up, drove the neighborhood at night (car has no lights, I couldn't figure out the 5-point seat belts) so it was a little not legal. that and I am 6' tall and had to figure out how to weasel in and out of the roll cage. Then got to hit the main road for a half mile or so. Enough to bang it through all the gears. I think it has a 306 in it right now? It ran NICE and STRONG for a 306.
